Late Night Networking Events :
Fridays and Saturdays after the shows are finished, all of the groups have a chance to network in the lobby. This was added with Brian Posen’s philosophy of creating a sense of community in mind. Groups from across the country will share information, discuss shows and above all laugh together. Free beer and food.
Octa-Sketch: The 8 Hour Project :
On Monday, January 12th at 8PM. Four teams consisting of a seasoned director and six actors, all from different sketch comedy troupes, will be given eight hours to create a 30-minute sketch comedy show to be performed that evening. Applications for participation will be on the website. The performance is free for SketchFest participants, $5 for the public.
Sketchubator :
A fast-paced late night performance where SketchFest participants are given 5 minutes to try out a new scene or concept. This has become one of the staples of the festival. Takes place on Saturday nights at midnight. Slots fill up fast. Contact Brandon Campbell (bcattack@yahoo.com) to reserve your slot.
